Charter
Areas
Mosquito
Lagoon
This pristine area of the Indian River Lagoon can offer some of
the best sight fishing for redfish Florida has to offer. Schools
of 100 fish or more are not uncommon, with many averaging 30-50
fish. This area also is a great place to target "gator trout"
with many over 30".
Titusville
Fishing in the spacecoast area of the Indian River offers many opportunities
for sightfishing and exceptional flats fishing for both redfish
and trout. Many large breeder reds are taken from this area as well
as a great trout population.
Canaveral
In the spring the Canaveral basins are loaded with snook awaiting
anglers with enough savvy to pull them from their haunts. Fishing
the coastal areas of this area produces excellent cobia, kingfish,
tripletail, spanish mackerel, giant jack crevelle and tarpon.
Melbourne/Sebastian
Fishing this southern area of the Indian River offers many opportunities
to catch a wide variety of fish. Huge "bull" reds and
snook in the inlet, mangrove snapper around the rocks, tarpon, jack
crevelle, mackerel and cobia can be had in the near coastal waters.
Vero/FT Pierce
This southern area of the Indian River offers excellent opportunities
at trophy snook on the flats as well as the inlets and unlimited
docks. Superb gator trout fishery with many fish over 30" (Florida
state record caught here) are caught on the miles of flats and inshore
bars. Nearshore / coastal fishing offers opportunities for tarpon,
kingfish and huge jack crevalle.
Stuart/ST
Lucie and Jupiter
These inlets by far offer some of the best inshore and coastal angling
available. With Snook in the inlets stacked like cordwood during
the summer months, days of 30-40 fish boated are very common. Along
with the outstanding catch and release of the Snook there is also
wonderful nearshore fishing with king mackerel to 40lbs ,Sailfish
are present at this time and in good numbers. For the Fly angler
the action doesnt get any better than this, with many opportunities
at Bonito (false albacore) along with the above mentioned species
including loads of spanish mackerel, all willing to take flies in
baitfish patterns. These trips are always fun filled with action.
Typical trips start out in the coastal waters gathering bait and
fishing kings, spanish, sails and yes believe it or not wahoo.in the
early am to finish the day snook fishing inside the inlets and inshore
waters.

Types
Nearshore
/ Coastal
Typically, coastal trips are from 5-10 miles from the port of choice.
Sight fishing for cobia and tripletail highlight the spring fishery
with opportunities for tarpon, smoker kingfish, bonito, spanish
mackerel ,sailfish and huge jack crevalle soon to appear as the
water warms. Live bait and artificial lures are used to entice strikes
from these gamesters. Summer months are best, June July and August
,with early spring comming in a good second. Ocean going snook load
up in the inlets and cruise the beaches are an added bonus.
Inshore
These trips cover a wide variety of fishing opportunities - from
sight fishing for redfish on the shallow flats, superb topwater
action on nearby potholes and grass flats, to endless docks and
structure as well as a vast series of canals and river forks. Depending
on what your target is, inshore will offer many options at targeting
your intended species.

Equipment
I provide top
quality spinning fishing gear and tackle on all charters. If you
have a favorite rod and reel, you may bring it so long as it is
in good working condition and freshly spooled with appropriate line.
Flyfishers are typically partial to their own equipment, so we ask
that you bring your own fly rod and reel. If you are unable to bring
your fly gear let me know in advance and I will supply rods and
reels. I will supply flies appropriate for the area and targeted
species.
